Attendance Policy
From our “Student Attendance Detail” record:
Absenteeism of 15%
1. Student's mentor tries to contact the student with poor attendance (at interval of 5%) before hitting the 15% absenteeism.
2. Student concerned meets mentor regarding the poor attendance. (proof of absenteeism is necessary)
3. Parents/guardians of student concerned are notified of the 10% absenteeism.
4. No compliance of 2 and 3, and upon hitting the 15% absenteeism, the student concerned will be automatically debarred by the system of the affected module(s), such module(s) deemed as “failed” and a repeat is needed. If a failed module is a pre-requisite of other modules, it has to be cleared/passed before proceeding to other modules.
Absenteeism of 25%
1. Upon hitting the 20% absenteeism, official letter of warning will be sent to the student concerned and his/her parents/guardians.
2. In return, the student concerned and his/her parents/guardians need to show cause in writing complete with valid proof of absenteeism.
3. No compliance of 2 and upon hitting the 25% absenteeism, the student concerned will be expelled.
